Congratulations to our Team for a stellar performance!
Patrick Prescott wasted little time in his debut against Team
Hardcore's Doug Collins. Prescott started with a hard punch to the nose
as he backed Doug up against the fence. They exchanged a few more
punches before Prescott took him to the ground. He quickly got to the
mount, then transitioned to his back. He softened Collins up with punches
to the head, then finished with a rear naked choke.

Next was Nate Decker for his Debut. I asked Nate to circle his opponent,
take him down and bring him to our corner and he did exactly that!
Within a few seconds we had our opponent up against the cage only inches
away from us. Now it's 3 against one in our favor!
Nate postured up to throw some strikes to the head. As Medrano scrambled
to stand back up, he made the mistake to show us his back. Nate pulled
off a spiderman move as he jumped on Medrano's back with hooks-in,
and choked him out within a few seconds! It's not very often that you can
pull off a textbook win like that. The spiderman move was a bonus!

Aric Iverson came out to the the song "Kung Fu Fighting" so guess what?
He had to show us his sweet spinning back heel kick to the head!
The fans loved it and Team Hardcore's Justin Sevens didn't. Aric decided
to take it to the ground and immediately moved in for a darce choke when
Justin got to his side with half-guard control. He almost escaped but Aric
was able to get in proper position for the finish!
Aric Iverson is now the new bantamweight champion!

Carlos Calderon won the first round with a takedown and punches from the guard.
He picked Portue up high for a slam early in the second, but Portue set up a
a triangle choke while he was in the air! This is what I like about Jiu-Jitsu.
Calderon will be back! He's one of our toughest!
